How to Support Your Child’s Learning
The research is clear: when families are active partners in their child’s learning, more students reach their full potential. Families can support their child’s education by connecting with school staff, understanding their child’s academic performance, and using specific strategies at home to reinforce learning.
RMFEC offers an interactive, five-session webinar series designed to help families better support their child’s learning this year!
Check back in January to register for the webinar series.
Family Engagement Civic Learning Lab
This eight-session Family Engagement Civic Learning Lab offers families hands-on opportunities to explore civic education and develop the skills needed to actively participate in their communities and schools. These in-person and online trainings provide family leaders with a chance to discover various leadership roles at the school, district, and community levels. The overall goal is to enhance collaboration between families, schools, and community partners to achieve positive outcomes for children.
The next Family Engagement Civic Learning Lab (online), an eight-week series, will begin in March.
Reframing Academy
NAFSCE’s Reframing Academy guides participants through ten virtual modules that address common communication barriers in family engagement and introduce research-backed strategies to shift perceptions. Learners will join four virtual meetings while completing the modules, starting with an orientation session to receive access codes, course materials, and background context. The remaining sessions will focus on structured discussions to deepen understanding and application of the Academy’s content.
