Coaction Collective (CoCo)
Coaction Collective (CoCo) collaborates with leaders and educators to strengthen connections between communities, teams, and families. Born out of the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and racial discord, CoCo emphasizes appreciation, collaboration, and the importance of honoring our shared humanity. With a deep commitment to family and community engagement, CoCo brings decades of collective experience as parents, educators, and leaders, believing that true liberation is rooted in community.
Center for Rural School Health & Education (CRSHE)
The Center for Rural School Health & Education (CRSHE) at the University of Denver partners with rural schools to improve health and education outcomes. Guided by principles of social justice, racial equity, and community engagement, CRSHE collaborates with communities to create tailored solutions that address local needs. Through research and partnerships, CRSHE works toward achieving health and education equity, ensuring that all children, youth, and adults in rural areas live healthy, meaningful lives.
Family Leadership Training Institute of Colorado (FLTI)
The Family Leadership Training Institute of Colorado (FLTI), part of CSU’s Office of Engagement, empowers residents to engage with decision-makers and shape policies that reflect their community's needs.
Since 2009, FLTI has partnered with communities across the state to offer a transformative 20-week civic training program, promoting collaboration between individuals, families, institutions, and public leaders. Through this program, FLTI builds capacity at both individual and community levels to address emerging social, health, and economic issues.
Family School and Community Partnerships Colorado Department of Education (CDE)
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) provides leadership, resources, and accountability to support the state's 178 school districts, nearly 2,000 schools, and over 55,000 educators in serving Colorado’s 883,000 public school students. CDE also supports a wide range of educational services, including BOCES, early learning centers, correctional schools, libraries, and GED testing centers. As the administrative arm of the State Board of Education, CDE ensures compliance with state and federal laws, manages education funding, and upholds accountability for student performance.
National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement (NAFSCE)
The National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement (NAFSCE) is the first membership association focused solely on advancing family, school, and community engagement (FSCE). Its mission is to promote high-impact policies and practices that support child development and improve student achievement. NAFSCE is guided by core values of collaboration, inclusion, partnership, equity, relationships, and trust, with a vision of making family engagement a universally practiced strategy for improving children's learning and advancing equity.
